Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently serves as its president. Buss was born in California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and later owned the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. In 1972, her parents split in divorce and she was left feeling emotionally lost. She joined the family business at the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She was director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president of the Lakers. Buss inherited her share of the Lakers from her father in the year 2013. The five siblings she had inherited it through a family estate trust. She assumed the office of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its the headquarters located in Los Angeles.
